publix, forgiveness is yours

27 Aug

So on Sunday I was running up and down every last aisle at Publix on a futile quest to find shotcicle popcicle molds (which are apparently just not cool anymore because no one on earth seems to sell them–thank you very much party dream-crushing retailers of America), when I ran into these:

Cutting boards

Cute!

Dishwasher safe, blade friendly, food-grade poly and need I say COMPLETELY ADORABLE cutting/prep boards! It’s like the Publix gods knew they owed me a consolation prize.

Which, between the popcicle molds and the seafood thing, they totally did.

I absolutely love these things. Mine are color-coded for what you are supposed to cut on them (i.e. red for meat, green for veggies, etc.) but that is too anal retentative even for me!! I also like how they are bendy so you can easily funnel all your chopped yummies into the bowl, pot, etc.

Mine are coded, too! They have little icons in the corners for fish, veggies, poultry and meat. I have to admit, I was a little worried about whether I could handle chopping veggies on the “fish” board, but I’ve come to terms with their overzealous labeling. :)

P.S. — Tell me how your pumpkin soup turns out! It smelled so delicious.

The meatloaf looks good. Is it your turkey meatloaf recipe?
But you lost me with the peas. Ewww, you know I hate peas. Just had to mention that. :o)
